Travel

Getting to Boulder

If you’re joining us from out of state, it may be intimidating getting to Boulder from Denver International Airport (unless you’re Fred & Kathy and driving the whole way). Here’s some options:

  • Rent a car at DIA and drive to Boulder (the unimaginative option)

  • Take the AB1 Bus from DIA to Boulder, which will drop you off right at the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, a 20 minute walk or 5 minute Lyft ride to the Hilton Garden Inn (the direct option)

  • Hang out in Denver the night before by taking the A line from the airport to Denver Union Station, stay in downtown Denver, then take the Flatiron Flyer to the Pearl Street Mall in Boulder (the chill option)

Regardless of how you get to Boulder, we strongly encourage you to use our Brew Hop Trolly the day of our wedding! It is the safest and most convenient option to get you directly from Hilton Garden Inn to Lyons Farmette and back again.

  • Although we have a room block at Hilton Garden Inn for the convenience of our guests, you may be interested in splurging to make your trip to Colorado more luxurious. Here are some options for you:

    • The Hotel Boulderado ($$) a historic hotel in the heart of Boulder. For people looking for history and location over comfort.

    • Wee Casa ($$) a unique tiny house village in Lyons. For light packers or people looking for a mountain experience.

    • AirBnBs (varies) there are lots of wonderful options in Lyons itself, or in and around Boulder. For people who want to stay with a group - or want more nature instead of city.

    • St. Julien ($$$) a upscale hotel in downtown Boulder that includes a spa. For people who want to splurge.

Things to Do

  • Boulder has a gorgeous Ped Mall designed by the same person who did Iowa City’s. If you want some window shopping, or take in some Hawkeye vibes - head here!

  • Lyons has great hiking trails and the wonderful Oskar Blues Brewery

  • Peak to Peak Highway - a wonderful scenic drive

  • Rocky Mountain National Park is a one hour drive from the Hilton Garden Inn in Boulder!
